Founded by Alexis McCray, Ed.S., LPC, EHMH offers counseling, independent evaluations, supervised reduced-cost care, and professional services. Eligibility depends on your provider, location, and the service.
Alexis also offers counseling by telehealth for eligible clients in South Carolina under registration TLC 3078 PC.
WHY EHMH EXISTS
Mental Health Care Should Feel Personal, Clear, and Grounded in Real Life
Elevated Horizons Mental Health was created from the belief that people deserve more than rushed appointments, generic advice, or care that overlooks the realities shaping their lives.
Seeking mental health support can already feel vulnerable. Confusing processes, limited access, financial barriers, cultural misunderstandings, and previous negative experiences can make taking the next step even harder. EHMH works to reduce those barriers through clear communication, secure telehealth, straightforward expectations, and multiple pathways to care.
The practice serves teens ages 13 and older, adults, veterans, military-connected individuals, first responders, high-achieving professionals, parents, and people from culturally diverse communities. Services are individualized, ethically provided, and designed to respect each person’s experiences, goals, and circumstances.
You should not have to minimize who you are to receive meaningful mental health support.
MEET THE FOUNDER:
Alexis McCray, Ed.S., LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor • U.S. Air Force Veteran • Clinical Supervisor • Mental Health Educator
Alexis brings a thoughtful, direct, culturally responsive approach to counseling. Her experience as a U.S. Air Force veteran informs her understanding of responsibility, transition, and seeking support while caring for others.
She served on active duty for 11 years and deployed to Kuwait in 2010. As a Native American and African American woman, veteran, military-family member, and business owner, she recognizes that culture, identity, family history, and lived experience shape how people understand and seek care.
Alexis founded Elevated Horizons Mental Health in El Paso, Texas, in 2022. Her work makes room for stress, trauma, grief, identity, relationships, and major life changes, with attention to the goals each client chooses.
Before beginning care, you discuss fit, availability, fees, confidentiality, and the expectations of the therapeutic relationship. You do not need to arrive with everything figured out.
Experience, Accountability, and Ethical Care
Elevated Horizons Mental Health combines clinical experience, professional accountability, military insight, and continued education. Services are provided only within the scope of applicable licenses, training, competence, and professional standards.
Licensed Professional Counselor
Alexis is independently licensed to provide eligible counseling services in:
Texas
New Mexico
Arizona
Colorado
Clinical clients must be physically located in a state where their provider is authorized to practice at the time of service.
Clinical Supervision
Alexis holds a New Mexico Approved Clinical Supervisor designation and provides eligible clinical supervision to qualifying counselors pursuing independent licensure in New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado.
EHMH does not provide supervision for Texas LPC Associates.
Mental Health Education
Alexis is an approved New Mexico Continuing Education Provider. EHMH develops professional education and customized training for counselors, students, businesses, community organizations, and military- and veteran-serving groups.
Practice Recognition
Elevated Horizons Mental Health is a Native American and African American woman veteran-owned practice committed to ethical services, clear expectations, cultural responsiveness, and responsible professional documentation.
EHMH is BBB accredited, holds an A+ rating, and received the 2023 BBB Spark Award.
South Carolina telehealth
Alexis is registered to provide professional counseling by telehealth to eligible clients physically located in South Carolina: TLC 3078 PC. This registration is distinct from a South Carolina license and applies to Alexis, not to the counselors-in-training. Availability and suitability are confirmed before scheduling.

EHMH offers online counseling for eligible teens ages 13 and older and adults in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado, depending on the provider. South Carolina telehealth counseling is available with Alexis under her registration. Your physical location and service eligibility are confirmed before appointments.

Clients may incorporate faith, spirituality, values, or religious experiences into services when those subjects are important to them. EHMH does not require clients to follow a particular faith or use a religious approach.
